FOTD: Lancome Shadows and Foundation Look

Me wearing the shadows from my Lancome GWP quad. I didn't use the peachy color in this particular look, but I do love that color! I wanted a classic look for day or for night time fun, and I thought the colors blended very well together. The look lasted the whole day without using any primer on my eyes!

I am also wearing the Lancome foundation, which I have enjoyed wearing. I found it lasted me a good 8 hours with one powdering since I have oily skin. I like that it does not get cakey or separate during the day, which I have had some problems with in the past with wear time on some other foundations. The finish on this is more on the dewy side I would say, so I had to set my face with some loose powder for a more matte look.

On my lips I have on Shy Girl from MAC, I got this shade about 2 months ago, and I really like it for my skin tone. It has been a great nude for me to wear when I don't feel like wearing a bold lip. I find that it can show chapped lips, and I would put some lip balm on before applying this.

A Little Bit of Me

  • How long have you been blogging?I have been blogging consistently for about 2 months, although I have had my blog for over a year only posted a few posts then I forgot about it. This time around I can truly say I have begun blogging!
  • What/who inspired you to start blogging? I would say all the beauty bloggers out there that I frequently visit, I would always look at their blog and be like wow I should do this! Then one day I really got serious about it and started blogging. I think if I hadn't seen someone else doing it I would never do it myself, and it makes you feel good to know that anyone can create a blog, but you have to really want to do it to keep it going.
  • Did you tell your family and friends about your blog? If so, what was their reaction? Are they supportive or "in the dark" about your blogging? I didn't tell everyone, but they soon figured it out, and they are supportive. I don't think they all get the concept though, which is alright.
  • What goals or dreams did your have for your blog when you started? Have you accomplished them? I would say that at the beginning I did not understand blogging much at all, it wasn't until my second attempt.  I knew how to finally get in the groove of blogging. I feel that I am just beginning, and just starting to get my stuff out there. I hope by this time next year my following will be much greater, and my blog itself will be much better!
  • If you could give your beginner-blogger-self one tip of advice, what would it be? I would say to stick to your mini goals, and to be consistent with all that you do.
  • What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being a blogger? Knowing that there is a negative comment out there just waiting around the corner, and I really do not look forward to that moment.
  • What does your blog name mean? How did you decide on it? I love my blog name, and it had to have venus in it which we all know represents love and beauty. Having that in my name was key and I knew I had to find something catchy to go along with it, and a blog is like an oasis to whatever your reading about. That's how I came up with Vivacious Venus Beauty Blog Oasis!

Ebay Lashes Hit or Miss?

Ebay Lashes

Here are a few looks with me wearing different kinds of lashes that can be purchased on Ebay, just go to the beauty section and search lashes. There should be some that sell 10 pair boxes!

The more natural looking lash, I like these for everyday looks.

I have two different kinds of lashes here, even though it is barely noticeable. These are pretty dramatic lashes on me, but I like to cut them in half and use them as corner lashes.

Final Thoughts:
I really enjoy these lashes for only about 2-5 dollars for 10 pairs! Can't beat that price. There are some cons though, like the fact you must trim these up before applying. Also they need to be shaped a bit before putting on. Other then that they are good for people who are just starting to wear lashes, and need some practice. With this price for soooo many, if you mess up it really isn't a big deal! Another thing to remind people, there is usually a long wait for shipping since they do come from overseas..so be very patient.

A great buy for the everyday lash wearer!

E.L.F Haul!

E.L.F Haul

I couldn't pass up this deal when I got the email about it, $3.50 for the 83 piece essential makeup collection! Wow what a deal, I had been wanting to try one of their kits for awhile so why not! I ordered a little bit of everything as you can see. I will be doing a FOTD look using mostly E.L.F product very soon, and reviewing some there product as well.
I got a few their face brushes, because I really liked their flat top one a lot! I have also heard positive things about their other brushes and you can't beat $3 dollars each!!!

I'm really excited to try both of these products out, I hope they work pretty good as dupes for my expensive products that I like to use. I will be testing these two out very soon!

I'm always on the look out for a great brow product, and this looked SUPER good and I had to buy it, also it's only $3! The HD Blush also very cool, and I got another one a week later in HOT PINK...stay tuned to see swatches on a upcoming post.

Finally the big one! I have used this a few times already and I love everything BUT the lipsticks/glosses, but you can't complain since I only had to pay $3.50 for this thing! The color pay off is very good for price, the shadows a little powdery, but besides that pretty darn good! Love the blushes, bronzers, contour and highlight colors. All around a great buy!
