Old Hollywood Date Night Look

Old Hollywood Date Night Look

Want to spice things up for date night then there's no better way to go then to go old ...Old Hollywood that is!

Every time I do this look I can never can go wrong, and it is pretty basic when all is said and done.

I also feel this look always looks very polished and not too over done.

Elf Haul Review! Swatches and Look!

Face Products from ELF Review and Swatches!
I purchased these products about a month ago on the ELF website when they had some great deals going on, so of course I was tempted and I gave in to my inner beauty goddess and placed an order. I wanted to do a review of some of their face products that I could wear together for an everyday look.

Here are the three products Baked Bronzer in Maui, Contouring Blush and Bronzing Cream and Tone correcting powder in Cool.

Here is a photo of the Cream blusher and Bronzer close-up, it has a nice coral color to it and the bronzer isn't orange. They are both pretty matte colors that go on the skin with a dewy finish, but there really isn't shimmer to either shades.

Here is a close-up of the Cool tone correcting powder, and I have been wanting to try a product like this for sometime. I know a lot of high end brands carry products that do tone correcting, but I didn't want to pay 20-60 bucks for it. This seemed like the perfect option for me, and there are 3-4 different options to choose from which is also great.

A close-up of the Maui baked Bronzer, and this was a great pick up for me, since I have been looking for a bronzer that I can take everywhere without carrying a huge palette around. The color is great for my skin tone, and I can layer on more color during the summer months when I have a bit more color.

Swatches of Baked bronzer, cream blush and bronzer and tone correcting powder mixed together.

Here are the products on my face, I applied the cream products first and layered the baked bronzer on top. I then put the tone correcting powder on top of everything to give it a nice finish. I of course put all of this on top of foundation and added some natural eye makeup and a nude lip to pull it all together.

Final Thoughts:

I really enjoyed all of the products, and my favorite one out of the bunch would be the cream blush and bronzer. I have used those the most, and I can say that they do last all day on my oily skin along with a setting powder with out breaking me out either. The other products are also great and have a pretty good staying power, but I will most likely wear the bronzer during the summer time since I am pretty pale right now. As for the tone correcting powder I really liked the finish on me, is it is pretty matte which I love! Even with it being matte I noticed it perked my tone up and gave me a great finish.

Double Matte Foundation Review

I really was interested in trying some of Estee Lauder's other foundations so I picked up the Double Matte foundation. I really wanted to see if it lived up to its name and give it a try.
Similar size to the Double Wear bottle, and with no pump top! I really wish they would put those on their products already.

I got the shade Cool Ivory it was the lightest shade that I saw on the Macys website, but I am not sure if they carry a larger range of this color inside stores.

I wanted to take a picture of the descriptions it came with to show what it says it does and compare it to what it actually did for me.

Here is a close up of the top of the bottle and the color of the shade, and I am not going to lie I was very nervous by this color. The color looked WAY tooo dark for my skins and it was the lightest shade!
Here it is on my hand and you can see that the color is a bit darker and a bit yellow next to my hand. I will have to say that I was very disappointed when I saw the color on my hand and I was tempted to return the product.

When I blended it out the color did lighten up a little, but I decided I was going to give it a real try and wear it for a few days to give a complete verdict on what I thought about this foundation.

Verdict:
After applying this foundations the first time I realized it wasn't as dark when I blended it in, and set a lighter powder on top, but still not light enough for the winter season. I will wear this during the summer when I have my fake tan on lol. The foundation had a medium coverage like the box said, and can be layered nicely, I also found that it did not cling to any dry patches on my face. Also this did not feel drying, and had a satin like appearance once on my skin.
The lasting factor was also a plus, I wore it all day and I only had to powder up once. It seemed to have stayed put until I removed it later on that night. I also feel that it didn't get cakey after I had to touch up a few oily areas which can happen with certain foundations. I wore the for a couple of days when I wouldn't be seeing too many people, and it didn't break me out at all! That is also a must for me, and my skin seemed to agree with the formulation.
I am glad that I purchased this product, and I look forward to using this during the summer time when it will look a bit more natural with my coloring.

Estee Lauder Haul & Swatches!

Great travel set for fast makeup application!

I love all of these colors that come in this compact, pink and peach to choose from!
The lipstick is also a little more vibrant than a nude to dress up any occasion.

Great texture and application this blush is fool-proof and looks great on most skin tones. The blush isn't too stiff or powdery but a great mixture of both to give just the right amount of color on your blush brush.

Love the shine on my lips when I wear this lipstick, it does not dry my lips out and lasts a good 2-3 hours of normal wear.

Here are the swatches of all the products in the pictures above. The lipstick can go from a sheer wash of color and can be layered for a more opaque look. I also love the brown bronzer/contour color, I have been using this almost everyday for contouring.
